Sheldon "Sandy" MacArthur began racing in 1952 in an Austin Healy, then built and raced his
own car the Sparrow in 1953, then bought and raced the Chuck Hassen/James Riley
Bandini Siluro Motto Crosley in 1954 and later installed a Mercury racing engine for the 1955
Sebring 12 Hours, then bought and raced the Paul Gougelman Giaur Lancia Moretti in 1956
with a Mercury engine, then won the 1957 Sebring Hmod class in Herm Behm's
Stanguellini, then bought and raced the Ex Briggs Cunningham/Behm
Stanguellini in 1958 and installed a new Mercury engine, and then imported and
raced Stanguellini Formula Juniors. The following are letters
